Hello to everyone. Glad to find I'm not the only one who loves the Maytag A606. My washer is leaking oil from the bottom and it doesn't appear to be advancing as it should through the cycles. Well, yesterday it very slowly went through ALL of the cycles until I put it on spin and shut it off. I've purchased the Tub Bearing Kit (204013) and the Mounting Stem Kit (204012) but forgot to order the Spanner wrench. It would be great if I knew of someone here in central MA who has the wrench but I don't. Besides the spanner wrench, will I need any kind of special adhesive or grease to complete this project? There's a small hole on the side of the agitator. Does an allen wrench go in there to loosen/remove it? If so, what size. Also, someone on this forum mentioned she was in possession of a factory service manual for the A606. I'm sure it would come in handy if it's not too much trouble. Anyone have any other tips for completing this repair? Thanks for the help.
Cheers, John
