I've requested this once from someone here at the club, but haven't heard nada, in a long time, and my middle name isn't patience. (Sorry)

Soooo, does anyone have one they would copy for me, I'll pay for the printing & postage, not a problem, or sell to me, or direct me with what the part # is for it, and maybe I can just order one, somehow, someway.

A repair manual (does it exist?) would be nice too...just in case I get curious and take it apart. I have partially done this before, but knowing my history of doing things like that, I always end up with leftover parts.

I just would like to have one.

Thanks

Oh please Steve!

Steve:

As I just picked up my first vintage set and it is an A606 and DE606, I would also love copies of these manuals. I am also willing to pay for anything (copies & postage that is).

Thank you,

Jim

I spent hours on the internet today

At work, lurking around for a manual.

I found a few schemetic drawings, and a "half @$$" parts list, that I will try to refind tommorrow and print them up....

I would also like to find that thread where someone wanted the push buttons for the wash loads...

But alas, no manual...
Scarce as hen's teeth, I'm tellin ya!

Steve (in Fla) email me if you find out anything....

Muy gracias!

Carol, Honey.... You mean you don't know how to run that A606 after all these years? (:

(Ducking and running very fast!!)

BTW:If I ever come across one,it's yours!

Rick

Carol, I have a A606 owner manual I'll be happy to scan for you. I don't have the dryer manual though, just the washer.
Erik

Carol: Nice job, all that free time and all! LOL

Erik & Rick & Steve: U so nice!

Jim: You DEFINITELY don't need to pay for it.........

Pete: 1963? We all seem to be near that vintage. Is it the age or the year? That makes us able to admit our washer-appreciation (OK OK worship) *tendencies*

I have found the A608's washer and dryer operating instructions. It is what came with the set(s).

Sorry about the A606, but really, it is prety much the same.

Email me at [email protected] and let me know if anybody wants a copy of these instead.

Steve

Found some info!

Called Maytag parts and they have the part numbers for the items:

A606 Washer User Guide - # 213557 Price $7.50
A606 Washer Repair/Service Manual - # 056130 Price $7.50
DE606 Dryer User Guide - # DE606F Price $4.58
DE606 Dryer Repair/Service Manual - # 05133 Price $9.36

Seems as though the Dryer user guide is no longer available. I did try the part numbers on repairclinic.com and they came up as not in stock with a 7 to 14 day turnaround. Not sure if ordered they may come back and say some of them are not available.

Wish Maytag could just scan them and get them as a free download on their site!

Anyhoo just though this info may be helpful.

C.E. Sundberg in Omaha, 6710 Grover St. 402-393-3421. has one 056130 Service manual, "Limited to available quantities". $5.40

Called Sundberg just now

They did not have a specific service manual for my A606. Just some "generic" one, for around $14.

I'm thinking my chances are better to play Lotto. LOL

Thanks jimmyb

I read the last thread before reading the others....

Too much time on my hands.

And what pretty hands, nice manicure and pedicure last night. LOL

maytagmom, Did you ask for the part no. 056130? Acording to their website (Dealer only)they have one there. Just called Sundberg in St Paul and they confirmed that there is indeed one in Omaha. Ask for the part no. not for a service manual for a A606.
