I'm looking for the brush assembly if anyone knows where to get one. My "new" dryer doesn't have any of the pieces for it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Also looking for the agitator cap, spring for under the bleach cup,and top tub foam seal for a Frigidaire WC 1-18, circa 1976-1978. Parts number or viable alternatives are appreciated. Thank you for any help I get.

If you’re looking for the little carbon brush assembly that mounts to the back side of the drum you are going have a difficult time. They’ve become extremely scarce. Fortunately, every part that makes up that assembly is very simple. The little plastic brush holder could be reproduced with a 3D printer and the rest are a small carbon brush, a little spring, and a small brass or copper plate to hold the spring and brush in place and mount the lead to. The drawing below was posted by me in another thread for a member that had the same issue. I also posted all of the related part numbers in that thread if you want to look it up.

I guess I'll have to repurpose a different brush assembly from an alternator or motor. I wasn't sure just how difficult they were to aquire, apparently they're made of unobtainium. The joys of the hobby i suppose.

Based on your drawing, that certainly looks easy enough to model. It's a high-temperature area though, I wonder what kind of plastic it would take for the part to survive? Would nylon be enough? Or would it take something like polycarbonate?

Theoretically, if remaking the brush holder, a person could also modify the dimensions to fit a more commonly available brush/spring size...
