Hey everyone. Longtime lurker, first time poster. I've learned a lot of great information from this site for working on my old Maytag washer and dryer. Recently, my fiancee accidentally forgot to replace the lint trap in the dryer, so a pair of her leggings got caught between the drum and the lint trap. In order to get it out, I had to take the dryer apart. I took the whole thing apart, labeled the wires, separated the drum, cleaned it out, oiled it, and put it back together. When I ran it, it made a slight scraping sound, and I noticed the drum itself has some play front to back inside. I'm wondering if I may have put it back together incorrectly. If I push the drum towards the lint trap, it doesn't seem to make the noise. Another problem is I now have to restart the dryer 4-5 times in order to dry 1 load. I've looked at the 2 yellow wires up by the timer, and they're connected. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
