Maytag E2L restoration update

Now thats an impressive transformation! My family bought a new Maytag just like this one in 1969 and yours now looks just like ours did when it was delivered. You should be very proud of the fruition of all your hard work. Bravo! BTW, when we got ours in 1969 it was the first year (or so the Maytag guy said) of the safety foot pedal for activation of the wringer. He took off the safety device for us and plugged the holes with stove bolts so we could use the machine unencumbered by the stupid foot pedal.

Wow, that's an amazing transformation! I'm not well-versed in the world of wringers but to me, this looks like a brand-new Maytag. Congratulations!!

Can't see the lid that well, but remember how bad the lid was when you got it! Did the filler work out?

Maytag E2L restoration update
Hi Stan...The lid came out pretty nice. Not perfect but a lot better looking than it was. Waiting for a day with lower humidity really made a difference with the painting. Thanks for all the comments everyone. -Bob

It's gorgeous BUT!
How does it run? You can't beat a wringer for plain old washing. No bells and whistles. Do delicate cycles. No permanent press. It had one function. TO WASH!

The fruits of your labor are really shinning, I'm almost blinded by the photos! Your E2L looks amazing. Congrats and your lid repair looks great!
