Hi,

Very new to the forum. I have an electric Maytag LDE608 (serial 515125 CE). And the matching washing machine (I will get the model next time I am at the property).

These machines were put into one of my furnished rentals. Normally I would put in something new with a service contract - but I bought the place at the beginning of the pandemic so I just put these in myself as everything had closed down.

I really love these old Maytags. So much better than the crap being produced today. But they are out of place in a higher end rental.

They are in good working order put not pristine. I will get some pics uploaded soon. What are these worth if I decided to part ways with them?

Daniel,

Knowing the washer's model and serial numbers would help, as would some photos of the units.

Lots of variables to consider when talking money - location, condition, features, who might be the target audience?  Are they suitable as daily drivers?  Are they better suited to a collector?  And how open are you to negotiation?

The last two letters of the dryer serial, wayyy at the end which aren't readable on your photo, are a code for the month and year of factory production.

ETA:  Ahhh, I see the dryer's serial letters are referenced in an earlier post.  CE = 1979 March.  Is the washer's serial not readable on its tag?

I assume the washer was bought at the same time. They were in a townhome built in - you guessed it - 1979. I couldn't find the tag for the washing machine - but didn't look too hard either.

Thank you so much for the response. Minnesota is a little too far away from me... ok it's a lot too far. But dang, I hope someone gets them and puts them to good use.

For the record my SO doesn't get my desire to have a working vintage washer and dryer. Although he likes my 50s stove and refrigerator. lol!!
