I changed the motor on my A206 this afternoon. The original motor has an internal start switch. The spare has an external start switch. I connected the wires per the color coding on the start switch, best as I can determine, and the darn thing won't run, trips the circuit breaker. Does that mean the spare motor may be bad? Or am I not seeing the color codes correctly?

Clockwise from left: Orange, Black, White, Brown, Red, Yellow.

Wired as shown, it hums on low speed, doesn't run. High speed immediately trips the breaker. Bad motor? Bad start switch? What continuity should be read with a meter across the various terminals?

Original motor does not trip breaker. Low speed won't start on the original motor. Doesn't do anything, not even hum. It does run on low speed *if* high speed gets going first -- get it going on high speed, then quickly switch to the Gentle Action button. High speed on the original motor works fine. The speed switch is OK, I reversed the wires with the original motor, the low-speed problem moves along.

Mayken4now/Steve brought the spare motor last December when we had the mini wash-in.
