Maytag question

I sold a set like Bpetersxx has about a year ago.Same color,etc.It was an 806 washer,and an 808 dryer.Maytagluvr Al bought 'em.
The dryer may have moved up in model numbers,because it's the newer style of dryer,VS the old Halo of Heat.The washer pretty much stayed the same.

So, the 808 marked the end of production for halo of heat models? I must find a place to read all this stuff so I stop making myself look like a tourist

One thing I just noticed about my dryer..the knob on the door is black, it doesn't look original to the machine at all. Would a chrome knob be more accurate? Where would one look to replace the impostor?
