Maytag Washer in Iowa City

I'm not sure how old this Maytag is so I didn't know where to post it. But here it is. I wouldn't mind getting if I way to get to Iowa City.

I'd guess about mid to late 80's. The problem could range from just belts to possibly a bad tub bearing and seal. Maybe you'd get lucky and find a sock or so stuck inbetween the inner and outer tubs. You'd know a whole lot just by turning the drive and pump pulleys by hand...

Saw this one too a few days ago on CL. RCD - you are 100 percent. Now if it was an A712 that machine may be somewhere else, other than Iowa City!

Sad part is I used to see these machines behind the stores, every week. It has turned into a once a month deal now, if that.

I still see those quite regularly, more dryers than washers, though.
