Can one infer from the silverware baskets that this used tumble wash action? This is similar to the Norge in a friend's house. The square upper rack gives greater capacity, the wash arm under it gives great loading flexibility and cleaning and when Hi temperature wash is selected, these will really clean. This also gives two rinses after the wash. You can buy brand new dishwashers that are much worse performers.

Well, the D&M Norge was an early 70s model with this upper rack configuration.
