hey. thanks for the kind response, just thought i would drop you an email sorry if it was unexpected etc etc.

yeah persil is my approved detergent which stems back to the 90s. when the number of washes appeared on the pack size i immediately favored persil as it was the best clener and gave more number of washes per box compared to Ariel and also Hotpoint recommended it.

great miele i see your mum has now got and and until now zanussi was my fave modern brand (i actually had a ZF1440w jetsystem when i was with my ex) i gave it up when we split. we also had zanussi condenser to match and the tallest john lewis fridge freezer (AEG made) to complete the line up.
shame the zaunussi washer you had was a lemon.

my hotpoint dishwasher was a swap with a friend when we bought our house (DWF31). as when we rented our previos
house i bought a zanussi slimline DW4123 but moving into our bought house with a fullsize dishwasher space we gave up the zanussi for the Hottie. the friends moved into a new house at the same time with space for a slim so it was a straight swap otherwise we would have had the full electrolux line up.

glad i am out of it now we did have a few probs with the FF but AEG rectifeid them, the computer inside the fridge blew and now i wouldnt touch electrolux with the proverbial 40 footer.
vintage hotpoint i say or maybe a miele. i love the high water level mmm.
well on to what i wanted to say really was that you dissapoint me>>>>>> how can you possibly think about doing a wash in the miele with ariel sensitive and also using comfort. crossing the brands is a dangerous and illegal wash offence lol!
THE RULES ARE

Ariel and Daz goes with Lenor
Persil and Surf with Comfort
Fairy is easy now with that yucky Fairy Fab cond. never tried it never will.

i despise proctor and gamble as you can guess.
something else that bugs me is seeing people (generally old dears)in supermarkets buy Bio (usually Daz for the oldies )detergents and make a point out of buying Comfort Pure or sensitive fab cond... why????

absoluetely crackers.
any views on the subject?

Requesting permission to speak, Sir!

I am not lavamat Jon, but I'd like to respond to your query.

I don't want to assume to do so though, because your question is directed directly to Jon.

Give me the go ahead and I'll talk, overwise I will keep quiet.

Regards,

Nick.

Hey Nick (aquarius1984 that is!)

Persil is one of my approved detergents - others I use regularly are Ariel and Bold (that's my order of preference actually - Persil, Ariel then Bold). Have always used Comfort softener though, always hated Lenor as IMO it leaves clothes quite greasy. Thankfully cleaned off a bottle mum got the other week at Tesco when it was on special offer and am back on good ol' pink Comfort.

I've never really turned an eye to people using Pure softeners with bio detergents - my view though is that if anything skin allergies are mor eliekly going to be related to fabric softener as it's washed into the last rinse rather than the detergent of which the majority will be rinsed out by the end of the cycle. Though I've noticed with Pure softeners the smell is more "creamy" and probably appeals to older people more - I know that my nana only uses Comfort Pure because of the smell rather than skin sensitivities.

Sorry it's a bit short - I've responded to your other email so hopefully you've read that by now :-)

Nickuk Nick - of course you have permission to talk. Of course, it's great that you asked permission. If you didn't then I would have had to confiscate your supply of Persil and make you use Tesco Value detergent for a month :-).

Jon

Tesco Value Detergent

Cheeky *********! i work for tesco and may i just add the Value range of products are not as bad as they seem but i would stay well away from the washing products. some daft cow on dooyoo or ciao wholehartedly recommends tesco value detergent and the softener.

the liquid is very like the old persil automatic liquid. early 90s type you could buy in 2 litre bottles. apart from the smell the colour and thickness is just the same.

although i am not seriously allergic to washing powders i can not use ariel or daz and even fairy make me itch like mad yet i can use bio persils and surf no problems. even the old radion and wisk never caused any problems when my old dear used to use them. the old dears i have come across when at work always ask for comfort pure specifically adding about the sensitivity they suffer yet they use daz etc.

i can see your point about the rinse washing most of the soap away but from experience bio powders leave some residue esp daz ariel and bold which i think are the worst culprits.

maybe one day i will tell some old bat to swap her powder and upsell some comfort easy iron see what she thinks then.

LMAO LMAO MU HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
