Hi. This is EASY Filter Flo washer I bought from a friend 2 months ago. It´s about 20 years old. When I got it home, it just needed a motor change, that lost all its strengh for the spin cycle. Now it agitates and spins beautiful. Here are some pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

Mexican EASY Filter Flo washer

Control panel 4. I put this plastic cover cause I´m taking this washer to Acapulco and I don´t want dust getting inside the control panel and degrease the timer. When I got it, the timer was really tough to turn. I opened it, sand the terminals so they can do a good electric contact between them, add a little grease to the last bearing which contacts the timer motor and left a little bit in every gear. It now runs smoothly maybe more than new and performs great every cycle. It also has the Spotscrubber cycle and the Spotsrcubber timer knob only for the mini basket. Here are the temperature (C/C, W/C, H/C, H/W) and infinite water level knobs.

Just copy the links to your browser. I promise I´ll make a long one.

- Last part of the wash with filter flo.
- Last part of the wash without filter flo
- First spin
- Begining of the rinse cycle. As always starting first with slow speed then it changes to normal speed.

why is it that the models sent over seas get the better parts....like this GE...nice white tub

maytag even had a stainless steel tub

whirlpool in australia had a side opening lid that opened all the way like the SQ

but not available on the US models

doesn't make sense

not sure about all machine's history's...but Speed Queen was the only one around in the early 70's to offer a stainless steel tub...you couldn't get stainless unless you got a FL and then they finally showed up in top loaders around 2000.

The one I had looks very similar, only that I believe my GE was a step above the Easy that is pictured, in that the mine had push buttons that were under white plastic tabs(like on the Whirlpool CleanTouch). It had a spotscrubber fucntion and a minibasket. I sold it in 2004, and now I wish I still had it. Was that style of GE produced from 1993-1995?

Easy?

When did Mexican Easy make these washers? Were they made at the same time as GE's Filter Flos, or was the tooling sent south for continued production after 1995? Was it like Brazilian WP Belt Drives, which were in production at the same time as American Belt Drives, but continued for some time after 1986 (how long after?)?

Very interesting,
Dave

It never ceases to amaze me, just when we think we have seen it all. Along comes something like this Easy. Very NICE. Thank you Ultramatic52

English instructions

Is the lid a replacement? It has instructions in English on the bottom.

English Instructions!!!

I know it´s amazing to have english instructions on the lid, but let me tell you that it´s the original lid all EASY washers come with. If you take a look on the insides, you´ll find that it´s a GE using EASY name and the only thing that comes in Spanish is the control panel, otherwise everything is English. I guess this EASY model was produced at the same time as the lasts GE filter flos. They were available from 1994 to 1998 when the model changed again for the one you have at the moment (double duty agitator) but with the EASY brand. A fried of mine owns an EASY dryer that´s about 25 years old which has a label that says it was made in Ohio. So maybe USA produced the exact same models but in Spanish for mexican population. On the other hand, EASY washers until 1999 were made in the US. The first model available here in Mexico was the EASY Golden Line (before 1980)] which I will look for and take pictures to show you. It had the spirilator agitator and the spining basket didn´t have holes on it. It drained water through a center huge hole under the agitator and had a spin drain as well. They never had a water level knob, instead they had a push button that said "push to operate", which means that if you wanted to have a small load, you must have waited until it filled to the level you wanted and press this button, tha washer was going through the wash cycle and then you´ll have to return on the rinse to push the button again. For me, it was a nice function since it made me return and return to check the wash. After 1999 EASY washers begun to be produced by Mabe company and the filter flo model dissapear.

Buenos, Que pasa? Digame por favor...
No entiendo tan mucho Espanol.

What is the translation of "Ciclo de Lavado Energico"

This is the double-rinse heavy-duty cycle on my Filter-flo; surely not an "energy-saver".

Muchos gracias.
