I read that when Consumer Reports tests freezers their engineers imbed temperature sensors in boxes of frozen spinach, maybe you could try that. They said that freezers in the 50's could only get down to 11 degrees F but that modern freezers could achieve 0 F. When the tests were over, the spinach was used in their cafeteria, given to staffers to take home, and donated to a soup kitchen. Like I said, people in Mount Vernon must be quite healthy.
