when you're friends drop over for tea, you be sure to direct their eyes, as a good host posing as Hyacinth to the label that proudly gleams :

"Royal Portable"

and be sure to say passively, "..I've seen these at the Queen's country home when we vacation there in my dreams."

Sandringham House

Is a royal estate privately owned by the monarch (currently Elizabeth II).

Queen Victoria and her consort Prince Albert wanted something "small" and intimate that was their own home as opposed to say Buckingham Palace.

SH is indeed so "small" by royal standards that often it is not possible for the entire court to reside at once. Some must share rooms and other courtiers must be billeted elsewhere near or on the estate.

Of course the relative small size can work to a British monarch's advantage as visiting royals and other dignitaries often cannot be offered accommodation for themselves, family and court.

When Nicholas II, Czar of All The Russias and his consort, family and court made their annual summer visit to England in 1908 his cousin George V was at Sandringham. This meant the Czar and his party couldn't stay as there simply wasn't room. To the Romanovs Sandringham probably seemed like servant quarters! *LOL*
