Here is part 2 (from the archive.org website) of this great film put out by Whirlpool in 1952.

There are some great scenes from the Whirlpool factory of testing, designing, building, etc.

Finally saw!

My daughter was asleep in my arms the whole time, too!

Well, wait til she grows up & see what "improvements" are made in "today's--or maybe, that is,--TOMORROW'S--laundry"...!

Good there is some trace of that facility still around.The device that formed the washer cabinets from one panel of sheet steel-if that was still used today-there would have to be expanded metal panels around the unit-and probably a robotic arm to load and unload the machine.You certainly would keep clear of that unit while its in use!!!And if one of the guard panels was opened-the unit would stop.
