Hi everyone,

I'm sorry it's been so long since I moved and then managed to find, well, all the cables and doodads to make the move pics happen. But here we go!

Pic 1: What the view looks like when you drive from San Francisco to Missouri, for the most part. (Sometimes there are restaurants and truck-stops.)

It really was gorgeous country, and I took a snapshot every day of each state, and when you flip through them, you see the difference.

Winter Olympics

We drove thirteen hours from San Francisco to Park City, Utah, just outside Salt Lake City. Here are the ski runs from the Winter Olympics, still lovely and there for all to see:

Thank goodness someone's making-up for the carbon footprint I've set in motion with the Caddy!

These windmills are immense. There's no other word for it.

The back of the moving truck is the scenery which I enjoyed for 99% of the trip, by the way.

After a fantastic evening at Greg's

...Rick and I (google-eyed) set off to Kansas City, to meet the realtor and close on the house.

While Rick was busy signing papers, I cleaned and explored.

First off, I love new carpeting--absolutely no stains to inherit--you get to make your own, and treasure them as memories!

But, there is the fluff factor. Good grief!

Remind me to get a real vacuum, too. (BTW, I tried it with the turquoise Electrolux G, and it filled the whole damned thing up with fluff, too. Grr!)

Next, the important part

It's the question we all really care about--what's the basement like?

Well, let's see--from the kitchen, there's a nifty, spacious stairwell. Thank goodness there's a garage door on the back side, so that machines can just wheel in and out. If I had to work with this, I'd be stuck!

We got a washer and dryer included!

Deliver me. I thought I had gotten rid of them from the house in Tucson, and look! They followed me here.

Blue facia protectors and all.

Since this model doesn't even have a water temperature selector, I'm going to go out on a limb here and make the guess that it has a single-action agitator, too.

Oh, cool. There's the dryer vent!

But the rest...

...is great. There's such potential here--plenty of room for stuff, camping supplies for Rick, and of course, my requisite eight washers and four dishwashers! :-D

Vacuums...

You either need a Filter Queen or a Kirby with the shake-out bag. Just vacuum, empty, vacuum, empty, repeat! No pesky bags.
