Great buffalo shot! Picture this-the girls went to a bridge party, and the guys decided to practice a little Greco-Roman action on the living room rug after "M Squad". Since wives wouldn't be back until about 11:30, they could get a few good moves in and tidy up just in time.
Speaking of advertisments, has anyone here see "Mad Men" on AMC, which takes place at an ad agency in 1960? It's a good looking show and I could just see Don Draper and Pete wrestling in the making of this ad for Sterling Cooper.
Watch the latest full episodes and video extras for AMC shows: The Walking Dead, Better Call Saul, Killing Eve, Fear the Walking Dead, Mad Men and more.
Are the bands in the shorts reinforcement or just a pattern? The man on top has similar banding across part of his back. What's with all of the dark shading on the back of the thighs? A small amount seems to be on the left leg of the shorts. Is it dirt? It looks like there is some on the shoulder of the guy on the bottom also. Are they transforming into werewolves?
Is the stretchy horizontal piece of fabric like a gusset?
Let's get down to business or let's face the music and dance.
I was waiting for somebody else on this site to discover "MAD MEN". It has been my favorite guilty pleasure of the summer. Don't know about y'all but I'm having fun seeing what they get "right" and what they miss.
I wholeheartily agree with your comments on "Mad Men;" it's easily one of the best new dramas to premiere this season--and so lovingly recreated from its era.
I'm afraid to watch Mad Men, because of what they might screw up, like someone with the wrong hair do because the actor/actress doesn't want to mess up their trendy 2008 look, or the wrong dresses, shoes. The production company, etc. supposedly slavishly copied 1960 to the molecules. I've seen things in vintage magazines on occasion that did not look period appropriate to me, but it was!
Mad Men is fantastic; glad others from AW are enjoying it. I was hooked from the first show. Highly recommended to any of you who may be Mad-curious.
Don't let concerns about continutity details stop you from watching it. The quality (both visually and in script) are well worth any gaffe you might catch. And so far nothing has stood out enough to bother me...
Getting back to this ad, doesn't what they are doing look more like high school wrestling than studio wrestling? Anybody here wrestle in high school? I never could, as like Bill Maher, I never liked to touch other men.
I'm not a faithful watcher of very many TV shows. For now the only one I try not to miss is "Weeds." I'd like to check out "Mad Men." What time and day of the week can I find it?
Ralph---It's on AMC (American Movie Classics); Thursday nights at 9:00 central standard time. There are also replays a couple of times during the week.
I loved Weeds, too, but got rid of my satellite service, so I only saw the first season. Someone said they're available on DVD, so I'll have to check it out.
Thanks Eugene, I'll check out Mad Men tomorrow night! Weeds is having a very interesting season thus far. I find I'm watching it "on demand" mostly. I'll have to check if there is any AMC stuff on demand so I can maybe see Mad Men from the beginning. I hope there are some occassional scenes with cars in them!
