Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Well, if you had the agitator off you should have been able to see the seal at that time. It would most likely have the newer integrated rubber lip seal built into the mounting stem instead of the older kind with the insertable drive shaft seal, washer and spring retainer. Take off the agitator and look again.

Love it!

I have the LAT8814? I think, my memory fails me now. Mine is the same control panel design with infinite water level, 4 wash/rinse temps, and tho it has the 2 speed motor does not have the speed selector or the load sensor agitator. I really like the performance of mine. It does need a new brake tho.

UPDATE: Now that I've found the matching dryer, my washer has poured it's oil onto the floor. I have a transmission that I can transplant, but would it be more advisable to just replace the oil seal in this one?
