I finally got to bring my baby home from my previous job.

When I worked at the vacuum store, the Miele rep sent me a CM5100 Whole-Bean coffee machine to use as a demo in the store. When I left I wanted to take it with me but there was an employee that enjoyed using it so it stayed with him.

The past week, I had to help the owner of that business with a few things and he gave me the coffee machine and a few other things I liked when I was at that store.

Here are a few pics. I am not sure if I am going to keep it here or put it on the other side of the kitchen.

I use a CM6310 at the store I am currently at. I think I like having the milk separate from the brew head. The 6310 doesn't get the milk as hot as the 5100 does. I do like the profiles and program-ability of the 6310, plus the sleeker design.

Oh well, I'm just glad to have my machine back!

... So in the process of getting things cleaned up etc, I decided to re-calibrate the machine to my drinkware that I have at home...

In the last 45 minutes, I've drank 12 shots of espresso....................

I say special roast because these machines do not work well with beans that have sugar added. The grinder jams up. We had another place supplying us with his roast but the beans had a shimmer to them. Come to find out there was sugar added to the roast. He only used that roast so we had to go somewhere else.

Since I've got this thread going, there is no point in starting another...

.... TJ Maxx is a ... bad bad place for me when I go after getting paid.... They had some All-Clad at really good prices... I bought a few pieces... ......

Anyways, I finally got around to playing with them.

I did check the website and the non-stick pan is listed as dishwasher safe.. :-D

I do need a larger splatter screen! I melted this one partially ... :/

Nice,

the next best thing to brand new All Clad from TJ Maxx/Homegoods/Marshalls is used form a charity resale store.
I found one of each of All Clad, and a Scan Pan last spring.
To imagine I started out over 30 years ago with Wear Ever from K Mart, when fixing a box of Stove top stuffing was the extent of my cooking skill.

Yea, but I bet that wearever from kmart was made a lot better than the new wearever crap from walmart...

I wish I could find Le Creuset and All-Clad around here at the thrift stores, but there is only one place that sells it and they JUST started carrying it during the oil boom.

I ... .. my new toy arrived yesterday and I brought him home tonight... Here is a teaser, I'll post better pics once I get everything setup.

Well... this was an interesting process... the opening needed to be cut one inch larger and all I had was a rockwell saw and a keyhole saw.............

Anyways, out with the old, in with the new.

The only real hiccup is that I took the burners out with the drip trays underneath and.. i have no idea which one went where.... there are no markings on the heads.... :/ I think I have them all backwards.

I am just going to keep posting in this thread, there isn't really a point in making a new one for my random... stuff.

Random pictures after the new cooktop was installed. Pics from Thanksgiving, my random messes all the time, my new microwave, making red sauce, ravioli, breakfast burritos and tonight's lasagna. Oh, and my LG washer/dryer combo, that is full size...

Aside from the two pieces I've had, I am finishing my day off with an Isagenix strawberry shake. That's all I've consumed today.. its been an off day. :/[this post was last edited: 12/18/2016-23:48]

Ninja coffee center

I was up late one night surfing the TV and saw the Ninja being demoed. I have a cuisinart with the built in grinder and like it but also enjoy iced coffee and single serving capabilities. It was delivered in record time for here ( 2days)and is a great appliance. They also sent an additional appliance that could juice a bony steak to liquid in less then three minutes. I liked the price and all the accessories including the recipe book.I highly recommend this to any coffee lovers here.

Why would I want a machine to grind my steak?Meat grinder?Want to Bite,Chew, and SAVOR my steaks ,please!I do have a meat grinder-does well!Makes GREAT burgers!BETTER than those from the store. You don't know WHAT has been ground into that burger meat from the store!

I bet

you do. My 30 year old Cuisinart grinds meat just fine too.
Joshua, you've become quite the chef. That cooktop is awesome! Blue flames are great, the best! No orange flickers there, no siree!

Had a craving for fajitas, decided to attempt a slight sous vide to speed up the marinade. Was pretty delicious. The Pioneer Woman - Ree Drummond was the inspiration for the marinade.

Olive Oil
Worcestershire Sauce
Lime Juice, Fresh Squeezed
Garlic, Minced
Cumin
Chili Powder
Red Pepper Flakes
Salt
Black Pepper
Sugar[this post was last edited: 12/22/2016-03:48]

I was going to add, I have found two drawbacks from the BlueStar that I hadn't expected or already known about...

I wish the logo were stamped, etched or embossed, it is a pain in the butt to clean that area because the rag or what ever snags on the points of the star. The other thing is I wish the burners were labeled where they go. When I unpacked the cooktop and took it all apart to make it easier to carry, I had the third burner out before I realized they weren't labeled. I have the front two correct, but the back three are... anybody's guess.

When I face the cook top, my right rear burner isn't right.. I've swapped all three around and I still cant get a low flame to stay... I'm gonna make a video and email it to bluestar.

My next project is to put a hood in... ........ They built this house with intentions on a gas cooktop, with no hood.

Yes,

the three burners do look close in size. They should be labeled.
See if the users guide tells you how to adjust the air bleeders on the burners.
Some gas burners don't stay lit on low until the burner is nice and hot.
I've heard complaints about Thermador on that also.
They do the chunky badge because that's what a commercial range has. It looks robust, and won't rub off with rough cleaning. Use a toothbrush.
Did you get my orange flicker joke?
The clue is hair, orange hair.
