Hi guys,

I required my bendix machine (which was working) with dangerous rubber wiring. But it seems I’ve traded one issue for another and now I am CONCERNED.

I was careful to rewire all areas correctly and to current safety vinyl copper wire standards for safety. HOWEVER, mistakes CAN happen. When I wired up the motor I did forget which was wire was positive and which was neutral but deduced that I had worked it out.

I have replaced one linear solenoid near the front of the machine.

The machine turns clockwise from the front. There is a cog scratching sound now and flashes at each cycle with a pop / flash at every revolution of the tumble.

Please help!

With the rewire, how did you rewire the motor? On mine the wires go through a rubber grommet into the motor casing. Did you pull the motor/Pump/Gearbox apart to replace those cables, or did you put Heatshrink over them?

On mine, those were the only wires that were crispy, the rest were ok. Moving them during the rewire to disconnect and reconnect them with the bullet connectors, could've been enough to flack off insulation.

Thanks @brisnat81 @unimatic1140 @ricky5050

Unimatic,
I am away for Xmas so I’ll definitely wire directly before pulling the motor apart as it sounds a very good idea before the hassle of a pull apart/rebuilding of the motor. Cheers

Nathan,
Thankyou for your ongoing support on this project. Very much appreciated.

Richard,
Thanks for that I’ll no doubt find out when I connect the mains wire directly to the motor when I’m back after Xmas. Cheers.
