Hey everybody, you'll never guess what I've found on Ebay?

The machine that I spent my childhood in front of: The Electra Microelectronic 900 6950E which is basically a rebranded Servis Quartz. It was exactly this model that I've come accross and it's in pretty good condition!

I remember everything about it, even the washing actions it does and all the other things as well lol!

My model lasted a very long time, I had it as late as September 2001 until it was replaced by the (now dreaded!) Hotpoint.

I loved that machine, I wonder what everyone else thinks of it.

Any takers on this? I'd like to buy it back lol!

Hi there

Gosh that takes me back to the late 80s. I remember when Rumbelows used to sell those Electra machines with that sort of dark bluish grey colour. I remember that one which seems to me to be a Servis and a Creda version.

What I wouldn't do to go back to the 80s.

That's a nice Servis Quartz you've got there, it looks good.

It's a bit different to the Electra I used to have. The styling is similar but it has a light grey colour scheme. I've read in previous threads that yours has the special Spincare drum which looks like the Honeycomb drum in my Miele but without the honeycomb pattern lol!

Good pic too, I see it washing away on programme 5 (Cottons 40C.), the most frequently used programme when I had it. Bet the clothes are getting nice and clean!

Heres a pic of the Electra so we don't forget what it looks like!

Indeed it has the spincare drum. It does my head in when doing towels, though they do say you should only half fill it with towels, when it spins it takes a while to get the water out, on interms it spins up to 1000rpm and cuts out. So when doing towels it tends to whoosh around abit with the water strugglin to escape in time. Luckily though it circulates the pump afterwards.

Yesterday it had its first run in a fair few months. I gave it a holiday! Heres a pic of a maintainance wash!

Whoa! That's a nice amount of suds in the Quartz! Washing nicely on programme E (Quick Wash.) Wonder what you were washing in there and what detergent (And how much) you've used to achieve such a level lol!?
