Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I'm hungry now!

Mike, that lasagna looks scrumptious! Roger & Terry made some for the Arizona wash-in Friday night and it looked just like that; was probably the best I had ever tasted, and I'm not normally a lasagna person either!

Beautiful new dishwasher as well; you'll love it! I bet you're already impressed with the cleaning ability with that baking dish! What do you think of the loading arrangement? Mom really doesn't care for it and says it's awkward, but I don't have a problem with it. After close to 20 years with two GE-design machines (which are by far the easiest to load, IMHO) there's no doubt it will take some getting used to! :)

It's very difficult to "out Bobload" me. Especially when it comes to overloading the washer! ;-)

*ducking and running HARD*

Austin, I hope your mom saw the baking dish pictures. (Mrs. prewash everything). Maybe your mom is just used to the GE--it's pretty structured as to how to load it, even though they are easy to load. The Bosch is kinda wide-open as to how you can put stuff in. You better be ducking and running.

I have had a mid 70's GE potscrubber, the 1983 KA Superba, and the 1997 Frigidaire Gallery. Now the Bosch. We have only done two loads so far and it is soooo quiet. I work in NYC now so I don't get home until 7PM so we don;t cook much during the week. The three of us have to get the loading routine down. Plates and glasses are no problem, cereal bowls are. next load I am going to see how the cereal bowls fit on the top.

My lasagna recipe:

Brown
1 pound ground beef
1 pound sausage
onion
garlic

Add in
2 large cans of crushed tomatoes(in only use Contadina)
1 small can tomatoe paste
fresh basil
oregano

simmer for as long as you want.

layer in the pan with
1 lb mozzarella
32 oz. part skim riccota
1 box of no boil lasana noodles

bake covered 1 hour at 350 uncover the last 15 minutes

Gary, is Venus in the class with you? "Food chunks Venus, Food chunks" (said in Tucson numerous times when she was in ear distance b4 she ran screaming out of the locale near the dishwasher.)

1 box of no boil lasana noodles

Why bother spending the extra $$ on No-boil noodles????
I use the regular 'uncooked' lasagna noodles. Holds together perfectly. Just bake @350 for 3/4 hour covered with foil, remove the foil and bake for 30-45 minutes longer till brown and bubbly. No need to cook the regular lasagna noodles first, and the cuts stay firm and not 'mushy'.

Amen to that Gary. I do the same thing, got the idea from one of my Annual Southern Living cookbooks about 10 years ago. Makes thihngs so much easier when you're doing lasagna for a crowd!!

I love my bosch Dishwasher! Mine is very simliar but in black! It has the hidden controls and InfoLight! I love it, cleans dishes very well, and its almost silent! It does beep once its finished, and every so often until its opened! Gotta love the hidden flow-thru heater! 161F rinse temps!

Your going to love it! I love mine!

Now, I just need to get the hang of opening it while its running and not getting splased! (still used to the kitchen aids handle!)

Sliced, or shredded mozzarella?

I like shredded, easier to distribute.

I also like to add some freshly grated Asiago.

I shred the mozzarella, or buy it pre shredded. The next time I will try to use the regular lasagna noodles without cooking them. I don't mind paying the extra for the no-boil, because I got tired of burning my fingers on hot noodles and them sticking together after you drain them. I have been buying the economy package that will make two of the pans you saw.
