That is very nice!

I know you're going to be very happy with this machine. It is so similar to mine (and in a LOT better shape). The light bulbs are still readily available and you should have no problem finding one. By the way, the lights this machine use are rather bright which is nice.

Gotta love the "tawny gold"!

Unimatic 1140 and Tuthill....... About The 1969-71 Harvest G

My My.....

What I am wondering is how come all of the cool washers seem to be located in either California or Minnesota???

Unimatic1140..... I still remember when you found that brand new 1957 Kenmore last year. You still have that machine???

And to Jed..... that is a great find that you have there. Never before did I ever see a 1971 Lady Kenmore in THAT great of shape. I could tell that the machine was in great shape just by looking at the cabinet in the first photo (no speck of dirt or rust NO WHERE), and how tightly put together the control panel tended to be all the way to the shot that you have provided to that gleaming white tub and that new looking Vari-Flex Agitator. The only thing you have to do is put a fluorescent bulb in at the top of the console to light up the console when you flip open that console cover. But other than that, no restoration needs to be done to this machine.

When I watched the videos you have provided for this machine, I noted that the roll over was awesome as well. What did you have your agitator set to?? By comparison, when I was checking out Jons' Model 900 (or is it a Model 800.5) last month, I didn't see a lot of rollover when he was showing off his machine. Did you two use different agitator settngs??? Or did you wash a smaller load in your machine than Jons' did in his machine???

Again..... you got a great catch there, Jed. I know you're going to enjoy playing with this machine.

Enjoy your new 71' Lady.

Jons1077...... About your 1970 Kenmore Model 900 (or Model 8

Yep..... both your machines are similiar. It is worth knowing that your machine was also available in 1971. The only thing they did was change the control panel of the matching dryer.
