and from someone who isn't a Kenmore fan...
I must admit, I always loved this machine. It almost takes the prize for over-the-top could you have any more bells and whistles on one machine. Gotta have the color-coded buttons (and still wonder why, with 14 {count 'em},buttons why they just didn't lay out 3 wash temps, 2 rinse temps, 2 wash speeds, 2 spin speeds and 5 options?). Doink. And someone please explain to me why you need a "SPIN ONLY" button when the cycle control dial is only 7 inches to the right? Looks like Sears designers were trying to make a Maytag A906/GE WWA9500 hybrid. I'd love to know if that button is actually connected to any wires.
I always appreciated that you could have real working bleach, softener and powdered detergent dispensers on the two or three TOL Kenmores. And they never quite let Whirlpool follow in suit. And nothing beats that wood-grained garage door over the control panel! Is that to make your Sears Best Lady Kenmore even more lovely than it already is or is this so we can install our laundry pair right in the living room so it blends right in with the walnut-veneered panelling? Congratulations on a great find this machine is going to give you years of fun!
...and can we hear more about Elsie's?
