Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Thanks for those pics, now I see another radarange I haven't seen before LOL.. what model is it?

Oh and glad to you you're using a vintage Sunbeam radiant control toaster, always in good taste.

Pete-

I have the same Radarange, that is the RR-700.

Mine's from 1986, and it's the bestest microwave I have ever used. Ever.

Martin- thanks for the pictures. I love the cabinets!

I grew up in a small "garden apartment" and the Thor Automagic washer was tucked away in a corner of the kitchen. I have seen many other apartments with washers and perhaps dryers in the kitchen.....it is nicer than having to run down to a cold, damp basement.

Nice kitchen! I love the Seeburg too! The Maytag set is interesting. Does the washer have an extra rinse option? From the beginning I started discovering American appliances on the internet I soon found the Maytag website. I was intrigued by the dryer door, it took me a while to find a picture with the dryer open. Very convenient!

Thanks for the wonderful comments

Thank you for the nice compliments.

appnut - look at the left in pic. 4. You'll see one of the famous white plastic dishwashers that Robert hates. Kenmore with ultrawash module. It does work great, and is pre-enzyme so the cycle only is about 45 minutes, uses about 5.5 gallons of water for a full normal cycle.

petek - the Sunbeam toaster is the second (?) generation, purchased in about 1982. I did used to have one of the original ones, but it was misplaced during one of my moves.

maytagbear - yes Radarange RR-700, I got it with the original bill of sale, $325.00 in 1982. I also have the owner's manual but it's for a different model, I'll post it and give it to whoever has that model!

foraloysius - yes, I specifically asked for the extra rinse option. It does have the notorious dual action agitator, but is a good machine overall. It was the last TL Maytag with the porcelain top, and washbasket. It has the "commercial quality" mechanism, orbital transmission with helical drive. I bought these units before I joined the club, previously I had a Lady Kenmore Heavy Duty Electronic washer, it stopped spinning and I knew the repair would be expensive or difficult. So I bought this set.

Once again, thanks.

Radarange manual-

Martin, if you'd like a photocopy of the RR 700 manual, let me know, and I'll send one to you. No scanner, so I can't scan it, but would be willing to take it to a photocopy shop.

Email in profile.

Martin, thanks for pointing out the dw in the pic, I missed it. That's a good machine that will last a long time.

and I love the laundry in the kitchen. That arrangement is so "50s". Bob
