Looks Great!

Back in the late 80's I installed a GE profile that had a flip out glass shield the did much the same as the LG.  Loved it as it did catch 95% of the stove top and directed the steam, smoke or what ever to the vent fan.  Microwave is gone but I did save the glass with the side hinges in case I wanted t o mount it to a new MW.

I remember that model of GE Profile microwave. We had a GE Profile microwave that we bought in 2004 with that morphing control screen. I loved that microwave and it was still going strong when we sold our house in Mass. I wish that they still made that model.

Your range and microwave both really look nice. Does that microwave design come in micro/convection? When we moved down here to Florida in 2010, I replaced all the appliances with GE Profile, but did not replace the microwave with the convection model like I had in Pennsylvania. I should have. That is what I will get next. We already had to replace the new dishwasher after only 5 years.

How long have you been in Florida? You are about 1.25 hours from where I live.

We have been down here since the end of Oct of 2020. I absolutely love it here. This humidity can go anytime now and I loved the winter here. I think that LG does make a combo microwave convection oven. I didn't go that route since the microwave is not on its own circuit here...I didn't wire it that way, it was the previous owner that did that on the cheap. Eventually we will fix that issue, but it works.

I have been using the Reheat feature on this microwave and I am impressed . We reheated pizza and it didn't turn it into cardboard like the last microwave did. My other half was surprised at how accurate the oven is.
