the "lint button" is actually a lint signal/indicator which lights up to let you know the lint filter is full.

Here's where my family had our business. We lived behind the store, on the first floor. My father started fixing radios here in 1938. You're right about the way of life aspect. Building is for sale, if anyone is interested......

Hi Matt. I remember the Caloric wall oven with the observador.
It also came in colors back in the 1960's.
I also remember seeing one on the set of
The Dick Van Dyke show.

As Jon said, how cool to have a job that is your hobby and passion. Talk about doing what you love.

My only problem would be parting with the machines or selling them for a reasonable price.

Thanks for all the positive comments, it is very encouraging. Had no idea the caloric oven was in show business! The westinghouse is a regular fridge, just sectioned off. The top section is the freezer etc. My building used to be a butcher shop, was built in 1893, and has a 10'x8'x12' walk-in cooler. In fact I'm inside it now, made it my "man cave." Here is the front.
