My Miele Ariel Vacuum canister

Does anyone know how to take one these babies apart? I have a screw loose on the inside of the vac where the powercord reel is and I know that there are 5 screws on the top one near the on/off switch and the other where the cord retract is one inside under the Airclean filter and 2 screws in front under the lid where the bag sits. I still cannot pry the top and bottom apart...or is this something that I will have to bring to the dealer and have them look at?

I wish I could offer some help but I ran into the same kind of situation.  My sister's Miele Redstar quit working and I offered to look at it.  Taking that thing apart is like breaking into Fort Knox.  I managed to get the switch/power module cassette off but couldn't figure out how to get the rest of it apart.
