15 years ago, I was helping my Mom clean the kitchen and I came across something I'd never seen before. It was a circular cloth with nested compartments like a honeycomb. She said it was for holding muffins and keeping them warm. Hers was/is identical to the attached photo.
I have it now, and I'm curious. Does it have a name? What years were they popular? Are they intended to sit in a wicker basket for insulation and to keep them off the table?
