Helen models for dirt

Toggle, yes, it's going to have it's own seperate water meter, electric meter, septic tank. All electric home, central air/heat, propane fireplace with its own thermostat.

I'll get the floorplan scanned in soon and I'll upload it.

Re: Congratulations:

Jason, this is always exciting, working from the Ground on Up to the completion. It doesn't sound like your going to get any Privacy until your house is completed, am I reading that correctly? I'm real sorry to hear about that, I would certainly think and feel that anyone's Parent's could give their Child/Children more freedom and Privacy in their home, until you could get your own place and able to move out onto your own.

I wish you lots of Good Luck with this great venture and I look forward as with everyone else in seeing the progress. Are you going to have any land room for expansion if and when necessary?

Peace, Good Times of House Building progress, Steve

HI Jason

That's fantastic news. Just as my home nears completion you are about to start yours. I hope yours take less than the seven (or is it eight?) years ours has taken. I was wondering how you were doing, reminded because Cyclone Larry has just devastated a couple of towns in Northern Queensland ( a very very long way from me I should add).

I do suggest you reconsider your priorities though. I mean really, TWO bedrooms and only ONE laundry? (I think you guys call it a utility room?) Surely it should be the other way around?

Best wishes and congratulations. One of the most exciting adventures of your life is about to begin...

Chris.

Congrats!

Hi Jason,

I'm so excited from you.

Great pics. I'm looking forward to watching it built before our eyes!

And there's always portable washers that can be hooked to the sink and the lavatory. I could have two of them just for fun (A Hitachi or early Kenmore if you please)

Heat pump

A HP would be nice but I'm already at my budget, so I'll use the gas fireplace and my space heater. It doesn't get that cold here anyway.

Personally I may (have to) add heavy-duty locking casters to my full-sized machines to make them portable.

Hopefully I can find a "spindle " modle that locks and that screw right into where the legs were. Is there a std. size for all machines or is this random like *everything else* in this country?

Those "Mr. Slim" A/c's are neat. The server room where I work has one of those, under the "Environaire" label. Same unit, with a remote that acts as the thermostat.

But I'm getting central ac/heat but thanks for the tip.

Jason,

Suggestion: Install a decoy thermostat (that isn't hooked up to anything) for your parents to fiddle with when they visit.

Hide the real thermostat under some sort of ventilated wall decoration or louvered cabinet bottom. Only you and Helen will know where the real one is. LOL!

Baby got backhoe

Today, the landscaper is out there levelling all that dirt and they're going to make the forms for the slab. Pics to come when I get back from work.
