My partner was burglarized

A coworker's home was burglarized last Thursday morning while he was at work.

Today he told me that he'd heard through the grapevine that some kid in the area was caught with a bag full of loot from his home.

Tonight on local TV there was a news story on how burglars are being caught by home video security systems that are hooked up to the internet. Most of them appear to be kids - teens.

I have found a very effective deterrent to be my pitbull and my st. bernard. It's amazing how many people DO NOT want to come any where near the house, let alone inside, with the girls at home!! At least the Jehovah Witnesses have stopped ringing the doorbell on weekend mornings. I just leave the front door open and the storm door locked, so the girls can look out at the world around them. Works for me. When they're out in the yard, even the stray cats won't come around.
