I bought a new fan this past Friday at Wal-Mart. The brand is Aloha Breeze, and I really like because it is all metal and is study. The bottom is weighted so it won't tip over, but the main reason I like it so well is it has that retro look to it.

2nd Fan

This one was actually given to me, it doesn't use much electricity, and doesn't move much air, but it is really pretty, and hangs on the wall above my bed.

I have several of those all metal vintage looking fans, one like yours and 3 for a table top....they are cool looking and work super quiet, but I did have to bend the blades a little more than what came from the factory, gives off a better breeze

Metal Blades

I love a good fan with metal blades. I find something hypnotic about oscillating fans, too. I could sit and watch them for hours.

Since it is still daylight when I go to bed I usually stare at at the fan and in minutes I'm fast asleep. This fan puts out quite a bit of breeze, not as much as my Patton on low, but it does the job, since the AC is on the fritz, it really helps cool me down; thank heaves the AC will be fixed Wednesday, the compressor was shot.

When growing up Dad refused to get A/C in the house...we had oscillating fans instead, he said all you need is a little breeze to keep you cool......

While I do like them alot....it was more like waiting for a bus!!!....When's that air gonna get here?...lol...the breeze comes and goes....

I also like the old fashioned hasset(sp?) fans that sat on the floor in the middle of the room and directed air upward in a circle, like a ceiling fan upside down...
