COOL!! The motor must have some kind of wheel or tire below the motor to drive the pump? Looks like it moves on that rubber flange connecting the pump to the tub? Does it run? More pictures!! Video!!

Yes a rubber drive wheel pressed onto the bottom of the motor shaft.

I'm guessing it is a diaphram water level control and pump from a Norge, but not sure which year.
Thats a very advanced washer to be using
A Singer water level control in 1950! And the cross bracing is weird and that silver motor is weird too.
I don't think I have ever seen this machine before. That solenoid looks postively antique!

That wire is original to the machine, I've never used orange wire before, except for new orange power cords. Did you put something extra in your fruit smoothie this morning dear?
