Donalds Dad flips houses....he buys the  basket cases and transforms them into nice homes, since he retired he has been doing this and it really is amazing what he can do...at nearly 82!!!! Anyway, he called me Saturday and asked me if I was interested in a old Frigidaire stove, of course I was, well, it turned out to be the filthiest looking 59 Frigidaire I ever have seen, so we loaded it up and brought it home, surprisingly enough the dirt was only surface stuff, and most wiped off very easily, I am going to post some before pictures, so you can see if I can transform a sows ear into a silk purse...believe it or not  its not banged up, just dirty.....The last picture is a square of light blue Homart plastic tile, this house he has started on had a bathroom full of it and Donald took it off one piece at a time, We are going to clean it up and use it in our bathroom,..VINTAGE LIVES!LOL

Keep posting pictures! This model is one of the first with the Pull-N-Clean oven and it does have a broil element that's removable. I sent you an email to the address in your profile. Let me know if it worked or not!

It is very hard to beat a Frigidaire oven for baking and broiling performance. Every one I have used has just been great and, heaven knows, they sure are sturdily built. When they started advertising "The Sturdy Washer" I thought they should have said it about their stoves.

Hans,

Amazing what a little elbow grease can do!

Tom - I couldn't agree more! Every Frigidaire range I have ever used was well constructed and operated well. They have all been real workhorses in the kitchen.
