Hi All,
Just to update everyone, last I posted my Electrolux TOL Brand new steam-washer that leaked right out of the box had been fixed. And then fixed again. Finally the leak was found and eliminated. Since, I noticed that there were little bits of rubber, from the door gasket, all over the place. I found one day when I went to wipe out the gasket. I called, they sent service man and he consulted Electrolux/Frigidare who told him to replace the bellows(gasket) the inner and outter drum and the main bearing because the drum was not spinning true. At that point I called Atlantic Appliance where I bought them here in Wilmington NC and told them I wanted a replacement. They called Electrolux and Electrolux agreed and sent a replacment machine that was delivered this morning.
So, they guys bring it in, take my old one off the pedastal, put the new one on, get it into the laundry room 2 feet from where it needs to go and removed the shipping bolts. Hooked it up and asked if I wanted to try it before they left. I did. IT LEAKED just like the first one did. After a torrent of profanity that I think even suprised the delivery guys I told them to get it the F-bomb out of my house.
Now, my great sales guy from Atlantic called and told me that I have been as patient as anyone should have to be, what do I want to do.
I can try again with another Electrolux. I like it because it is beautiful blue, worked great when it did work, and you could turn the light on while it was going, love that. I also like the steam dryer function and especially that it hooks up to the water so you dont have to dick with filling up a container like other brands have. Maybe the third time could be the charm.
I can also get a refund and change to another brand that they carry. He was willing to give me a deal on Miele but the doors go the wrong way and can't be switched and my plumbing and vent hook up are all wrong for them. The have Samsung, Maytag, Whrilpool. They do not have LG, that would be my choice because of the great luck I had with my last pair.
What would you do? Take a chance on a third electrolux? Change to samsung? Give up and go to the laundry mat? I just so annoyed that I have to go thru this on top of everything else I have going on in my life right now.
