Good Morning,
Due to space limitations in my condominium, I have to use a unitized top load washer and dryer. I currently have a Frigidaire stacked washer and dryer which is giving me problems again.
I am looking to purchase a GE unitized washer and dryer or Kenmore (which is on sale) with the stainless steel wash basket. The Maytag/Whirlpool is too deep for the space, so I am limited to the GE/Kenmore.
My questions are:
1) Can the preset water levels be adjusted for more water?
2) This is a straight vane agitator, not the hydrowave. Does anyone know anything about the straight vane. I have been searching the internet for videos on this machine showing the agitation, spin, rinse, etc., and nothing is available.

The reviews are fairly good, especially the newest reviews, and GE seems to have worked out the issues with the dryer.
I did try searching for a used Maytag stack, there are none available with a two speed motor.
Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
By the way, the washer collections on this site are fantastic. What a tribute to quality manufacturing of the past. Major appliances used to be made to last forever with simple, non computerized controls. They were also works of art using heavy steel, chrome, lights, and real design.
