Need info on these old Kenmore washers and dryers

Hello all, well let me start by giving you some back story, I've been helping a guy demolish an old house he inherited from his late father, the place is a disaster to say the least, well as i was helping clean out the rooms I noticed these old washers and dryers sitting in the drive way. I asked him what he was doing with them and he said he was probably going to take them to the dump, so I took a closer look at them and seeing the chrome accessories and knobs I told him to hold off on taking them and let me see if they are worth any thing being they look to be 1970's models, so now here I am asking you what we have in our possession?

The dryer is a 1970 Model 70/700 series, the same model that was part of a laundry room set on the 1980s TV soap opera Knot's Landing.

The washer is a 1967 Model 600 series, the identical washer to one my neighbor across the street from me had while I was growing up. The interior of the washer has a speckled tub, a black straight vane agitator, and a manual clean waterfall lint filter with the turn latch to remove the cartridge. Many great memories were had by watching my neighbor's washer do its thing.

Yes, the outskirt's of Kingman AZ, the 1970 dryer has a matching washer to the right of it, what would all of these be worth? I also found a Maytag dryer buried in a pile of scrap he has set aside, look's very small in comparison to the others and I'm certain I saw a older wash in the garage which I'll have to take a closer look at in the next few days.

Upon digging further I did find a much older washer in the garage, look's to be Maytag, but I could not get a clear enough view of the machine with everything on top of it, I have pic's of the matching dryer as well and found a few old stoves,a beat up old fridge in the kitchen and a 50's stove in a back room, the old owner lived in the home in the 40's-70's with his wife, once she passed away, he started hoarding thing's including these machines, he passed away about two to three year's ago and his son took it over and began clearing and tearing it down, that's were I came in.

Ok here is the final say on the washers and dryers, they are up for sale until Saturday, afterwards he is going to be taking them to the recycling yard so spread the word and get them while they last!

Hi Foozy, I've been searching very hard and long for that GOLD Super Roto Swirl Agitator from the Sears KENMORE washer. May I have (BUY) it? I've sent you an email regarding it.

Black and gold agitator's with caps

I am currently trying to get both agitator's removed from the machines, the cap came off smoothly on the black agitator but I have yet to successfully remove the gold cap, then I am still working at unbolting the both of them from the tubs any suggestions on getting them off without damaging them?

Try the 'turban of terror'....

Wrap a good-sized towel around the top of the agitator and pour a pan of boiling water over the towel to soak it thoroughly.
Let the towel sit until it's barely warm to the touch and then try working the agitator loose by grabbing the base, rocking up and down and from side to side until the agitator is freed up. You might have to apply the hot water a couple of times, but this has worked for me many times in the past.
