Needed: Electric -broom

I picked up one of those Bissell carpet sweepers a couple of months ago, brush roll wouldn't turn. Well by the time I got thru scissoring out all the wound up string and yarn on the roller you could have knitted a house with it. Works great now. I had an early wooden one as well but I gave it to my neighbors last year as a housewarming gift, almost 100 years old and it was still working like new.

I recently cleaned and tested a Eureka Boss "Superlight" stick type vac. I had puchased it for my mom a couple of years ago, when she couldn't operate a full-size vac. Now she's moved on and it sat in my garage for a while.

It's not bad. I like that the brush roll is motorized and can be switched off. It's only 2 amps, but seems to pull up the dirt in the kitchen reasonably well, at least much better than the Bissell Go Vac, which is something of a joke. The Superlight is a corded version, which of course helps with power and suction, not to mention longevity. It's also a bagless model, but very easy to empty and clean. Bottom line is that the Superlite may well displace the Go Vac from kitchen chores, despite the added inconvenience of a cord.

this is just what you need. shipping IS a bit pricey. but bags are cheap and you can even use the cloth bag as shakeout if needed.

Boy this litlle electric broom really sucks!

Methinks the rugs have not been vacuum cleaned in quite a while. This from the 16 x 12 foor (4.8 x 3.6 meters) room I share as an office at the job.

The US quarter is to get a feel for the size of the mound.

PS: I only know this b/c 2 weeks ago, my DirtDevil of the last 5 yrs "kinda" went out on me and I was looking to buy a new vac. Target had nada what I was looking for in my price range, so I ended up just buying the pack of 2 belts @ $2 and some change. Works just nifty for now.

But actually, I could top that one with what I had to cut off the roller on the Red Devil...
It was enough hair to cover the heads of several children. No wonder the belt was loose when I put it back on.
I will just take a pic next time....

I believe most handicap toilet stalls are bigger than that, but at least the toilet stall has a door.

Realistically, 8x8 cubicles are more or less the standard. I once worked for a company with 8x10 cubicles. Those two extra feet made a lot of difference. When I quit and moved to another firm, with 8x8 cubicles, I could never quite get over what I viewed as a downgrade.

The standard size for prison cells is 6'x9'. Just thought you would be interested. And no I have never spent even 1 minute behind bars, but one of my co-workers has.
