I don’t know why I did it BUT, I bought a 2017 9 series Electronic Top Load Washer. I have a 9 year old AWN542 that I bought with the matching dryer on my 44th Birthday. The 542 has been with me through two moves and not needed major repairs. The belt was replaced once and I changed the idler spring which SQ sent me for free.
I guess I thought the 542 was getting up there in age and I do not like the new SQ wash system. My son is an auto tech and no way would that machine clean his clothes.
I think I’m gonna hook up the new machine up next to the 542 and use both. I hang dry a lot so it’s not an issue with one dryer.
I still love a traditional top loader. SQ may not be a DD Kenmore or GE FF but it’s as close as I get to it.
I’ll post pix of it when it arrives and I’ve never bought online. I bought from a huge Brooklyn NY company so hopefully delivery is smooth. I’ll let everyone know how it turns out.
I’m just not ready to go front load yet.
