Well as some of you already know my Baby Aloysius didn't make it through the winter and succumbed to kidney disease which I must say we had been fighting pretty well for 7 months. He crossed the rainbow bridge peacefully in my arms at the ides of March.
I had written the breeder to tell her what had happened and how he lived a great long life to 15. She called me back the day the letter arrived to tell me she happened to have a puppy available and would I be ready for another dog at this time.
After much soul searching and crying which I still do when I think of AL I called her back and said yes.
So Artemis came home in the ides of March and has settled in beautifully here.
We actually have puppy graduation next week and then on to intermediate dog class for the early summer!
Here are some recent photos, I think Al would be proud and I think he had something to do with the timing of it all, but thats just me.
