Just picked up this early 60's G.E. Americana fridge. Some friends of ours had it and they didn't want to haul it to their new place. So we moved to our house. It needs a good cleaning. It oringally had an ice maker but it is no longer there.

AMERICANA FRENCH DOOR REFERGERATOR

WOW Justin that ref is in great shape, I have had one of these in my 2nd home for almost 20 years. This ref actually can make a good daily driver, it is remarkably energy efficient and a very good performer when it comes to keeping good temperatures. It never had an automatic IM but instead had a neat system that automatically filled the large ice tray. I recently updated my GE FD to make it even more efficient by replacing all three fan motors with the new ECM motors this alone reduced the power consumption by 65 watts when the frig is running. If you want to know anything about this ref contact me, I have worked on a lot of these over the years but they were always quite rare, but people always kept them as long as possible.

Swaa-eeeet!! I love it! The drawer-style bottom is all the thing now, this beauty was ahead of its time. I'm glad it found a good home with you! Enjoy!

<span style="font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: medium;">I have only seen one of these in person at Jimmy (Filter-Flo's) home in Ohio. </span>

GE!

This is a very awsome REFERGERATOR and the concept makes so much sense to be able to put things on the counter when loading and unloading the REFERGERATOR. Figures they would stop making something good!
