Well we had a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon that we had owned for about a year. Just recently it started having problems that was costing us more than what it was worth. We ended up selling it to a friend of ours. Well we still needed a different vehicle. We searched and searched and finally today we found a 2008 Ford Escape with only 54000 miles on it. Has a 4cly so gets decent gas milage. My partner has a bad back and this car is easy for him to get in and out of. We just got it today.

You guys will really like the Escape a good car and gets good gas milage.  Fords seats are so muc deeper and supposrts your thighs almost to your knees much more comfortable in traffic and on longer trips. Most overs are only about half way to your knee.

Nice ESCAPE

My father-in-law drives cars for dealerships in retirement and settled on the ESCAPE. He loves it and it has been good to him.
I've been eyeing the ESCAPE too. It'll be interesting to find out this baby turns out.

My daughter had a 2009 Escape

as a company car and she liked it very much... her had the continuously variable auto trans and it did seem a bit weird how it never shifted, instead the engine rpms stay steady and the trans ratios change. DIdn't have any problems with it though.

The Escape is quite roomy on the inside given its tidy outside dimensions. It has been a good seller for Ford.

Good choice

I knew someone who had one of the first Escapes and must say I was very impressed. His had the V6 engine and wow, the vehicle had very good acceleration and I wasn't expecting it.

We took a couple of long trips and it was amazing how comfortable it rode and how much stuff you could pack into it. From what I know they are even better now and your 2008 model looks even better. Congrats and I think you'll both be quite happy with his.
