Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

It's interesting how manufacturers "develop" new products to european market that is usual here in south america for many and many years.

Ok, we have our weather diference because even during the winter our "cold" water is almost never below 25C, but here in Brazil people almost never use hot water and have never used it before, most of the machines don't have an internal heater and only recently only two or three models have a hot water fill valve.

When I say I use hot water, many people here say "bullshit, why do you need it?"

No, we're not pigs. Our clothes are really clean, our whites are white and we don't have any issues with mold or contamination.

Our detergents, since the beginning (mid 40's maybe) were developed to give excellent results in cold water.

I can see the difference, for example, when I use Tide Regular (the most famous brand in the U.S.) or Persil (most famous in Europe) and Omo (most famous in Brazil).
Both Tide and Persil don't clean well in cold water but Omo, which is a brand that I hate cleans OK.

The Brazilian Ariel Oxyaneis or EcoMax clean much better than Omo and can really remove even the most dificult stains using cold water.

It's funny because the argentinian Ariel Oxyanillos is also made in Brazil but it doesn't clean as well as it's brazilian twin brother.

So... Instead of "spending millions of Euros" to develop a detergent that can clean in cold water, why don't simply get the brazilian formula and enhance it a little bit to clean well under 15C?

By the way, the dose is also much smaller here in Brazil. I have the Tide scoop and the Ariel's dose for a 15kg top loader full with really dirty clothes wouldn't even reach 1/3 of the scoop.
