Initial Review...
Well, I've used it twice now. The Air-Way is Fantastic! I couldn't be happier. I do love the throwback to the purple color. And, it's amazes me how well it cleans!
The powerhead is wonderful. It's lightweight, easy to maneuver, and I think it's just as sturdy as the previous model... I can't believe how quietly it runs! The wooden brushroll and the quiet-drive belt really seem to do the trick. It also grooms the carpet very nicely-especially Mom's frieze. Oh, and it has rubberized rear wheels, too.
The hose is indeed crushproof, and swivels 360 degrees at the handle and 90 degrees at the machine. No telescopic wand.
The attachments are as cheap as they come. It's really too bad the Air-Way sold the dies for their original attachments. Those were really what made an Air-Way an Air-Way. I am probably going to order a set to go with this machine, from Air-Tec (who currently owns the dies).
Here are some pictures of the powerhead, taken apart.
