I went to King Soopers here in Arvada, CO. I noticed that a ton of detergents are on closeout. Several 100 oz formulas of All are being dropped, Tide Simple Pleasures Lavender and Vanilla and Pure Essentials are dropped too, but the big shocker is that they are dropping it's entire Everyday Living laundry detergent line. I'm hoping there are new products coming, not more sizes of Tide....

Tide's "Lavender & Rose", along with other Simple Pleasures have been long gone from shops in this area. Do not know if K-Sears downtown has any though.

Whilst shopping the other day, did notice the Tide detergent section was looking rather sparse, but chalked it up to low inventory.

One hundred ounce liquid detergents from all brands seem to be going the way of the Dodo. Guess with "2x" formulas taking over could be seen coming.

P&G has so many variations of Tide, and it is getting confusing. Time to cull the herd I say.

Wonder if tide has wised up, " you pay for detergent you get detergent" all i want is my Original tide, Fab with lemon fresh borax. Is it all marketing? Tide could take a lesson from the folks over at coke, new coke, back to the same old coke. Close as i can figure this new F/L washing system has them all confused. lesson learned if you find the one you like buy as many as you can. it may not be there next time. alr2903

Simple Pleasures

Was Tide's answer to the likes of "Mrs. Meyers", Caldrea and other aromatheraphy type cleaning products. While Tide could never be called "organic", they at least gave it a stab.

Problem with Tide is they use that damn patent to make fragrance stick in everything that has a scent. Thus laundry reeks for weeks afterwards.

Methinks the necessity of far less detergent in front-loaders has the detergent industry on its knees.

Will probalby see (just as with washers) buy-outs, mergers and consolidations of so many brands that a vacuum will ultimately be created opening the door to foreign competition.

So for all you hoarders, gatherers, collectors and collyeristic folk.... fill up your stash now! LOL

King Soopers here in Arvada, CO

Hey jt1985, I think that King Soopers is the store where my mom shopped when I was a little kid! That was back in the mid-1970s. We lived on Balsam off Wadsworth and 72nd.

Launderess' comment about how Tide fragrance lingers is so true. I don't like to use it because the clothes reek for ever. Why can't these manufacturers realize not everyone wants to smell like cheap cologne?

King Soopers

It's the old Cub Foods on 80th and Sheridan. It'd be interesting to see what would be introduced, but I am shocked that they are discontinuing their PV line, which barely lasted a year. Unilever/Sun's All Small & Mighty is still being sold, but in Free & Clear HE, with Snuggle and Relax & Renew (lavender & lily). I think Sun will push the Small & Mighty line more aggressively than Unilever did. It'd be nice to see their Sparkling Sun Bleach Alternative concentrate again...
