New dishwashing chemical sysyem from Ecolab

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Hi Nick.

The reason why hardly anyone on Cape Cod uses EcoLab is because their customer service is non existent. Most of the techs are based off Cape. Trying to get over the bridges on during the weekend is a horrific. And the on Cape Tech is usually B---s To The Wall come the middle of summer. So if you need service, tomorrow or "
in a few days" just won't cut it.

In watching our tech do some repairs on the CLE-44... I couldn't believe my eyes how Hobart has cheapened their build. Plastic everywhere and just plain shoddy workmanship right down to sharp metal edges on the machine when cleaning by hand.

Glad it wasn't my money laid out for that machine. Even the young tech said this machine is no comparison to the old models he works on. He said the older machines clean much better and rarely need service.

He also mentioned the new LX series is just a plain as day nightmare.

Yeah, I am living in the past but nothing beats those old Barts from the 40s through the late 60s.

CL-44e and LXe/Ecolab

Eddie: I'm quite shocked to hear of bad service from Ecolab. As the worlds largest and most advanced chemical company this is unacceptable. I have never heard of this before. Of course I live and work in Ecolab's backyard(they are based in St. Paul MN the state capitol.)

Interestingly enough I just had a talk with my Ecolab guy last week about the current Hobart dishmachines. His take was that the CLe conveyor machines seem to be made better and wash better than any other modern machine. From what I have seen while HDPE or nylon components are being used, I don't see them in any major wear parts. I remember when the CLe came out the EL guys hated it. Now that they know how to set the chemistry they work fine.

He HATES the LXe there is no way to regulate the rinse pressure accurately as there is no gage. Also the machine pumps out the same amount of water each cycle regardless of how much is coming in through the rinse system.

UGGH! Give me back my FT-800 from the hotel. That machine could clean anything and rarely ever broke.

There are none so blind as those who "will" to not s

Nick, your EL guy does not know what he is talking about. Have him educate himself on how the LXe works. All models have a holding tank for the rinse water that is heated to the proper temperature based on the machine spec and then has a pump that pumps that rinse water into the rinse system providing consistent and adequate rinse pressure regardless if the incoming water pressure in the building.
Also, the machine is designed to continue washing until the proper rinse temperature is achieved in the holding tank at which time, the machine will go into the rinse cycle.
No more big booster tank under the machine and sometimes low rinse pressures.
Definitely not your Grandfather's under counter machine. But then again neither are the machines being produced for the domestic customers.

I appreciate your admiration of the FT800 but when that came out, people lamented about the older FT's too.
Eddie.. we need to talk! LOL!
