Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I wonder how noisy it is with the pump running during the wash cycle.

In the video it has a tub light that goes off when the lid is closed. Be cool if you could set it to stay on when it is operating.

frigidaire

i wonder how quiet the pump is when draining and the motor when spinning, that's one thing i do NOT like about my 2009 frigidaire TL, is the noisy drain pump.

Funny thing about Frigidaire pumps......they start out quiet, and then gradually get noisier.....I have the FL with the square door, bought in 2008, and for some reasoin, every two years, they replace the pump, under warranty, because its gets so loud, you hear it over top of the spin.....now that it has been replaced, you don't hear it, or the machine until the last spin...

almost as if the impellor gets off balance, and vibrates the heck out of it, and the base plate its mounted to amplifies the sound.....

I'd like to see it washing a maximum capacity load. These impeller washers are always shown washing a small load in promotional videos.

Also: Why on Earth would you make one of these without the recirculating water jets? It appears, from the video, that the water jets are an integral part of the cleaning system.[this post was last edited: 8/25/2012-19:47]

I think this looks like quite a promising machine. I notice you can de-select the energy saver option. I presume this adds more water to the wash phase. I did notice the small print at 0.06, claims are based on an 8lb wash load. That seems awfully small. Even so, I do like this machine. The all in one tub and impeller means less to go wrong mechanically I would think. I do have a fondness for the video's of the agitub I have seen on youtube. As mentioned by others, would be interesting to see how this machine handles really big loads.

And the Matching Dryer???

Do you know where there is a spec sheet for the Matching Dryer as well???

The New Frigidaire Washer looks like it is likable.

So far, I like it.

My Links Don't Work...

But I have downloaded the brochure to the Matching Dryer as well.

I really like this set....

Whether it is durable like a Speed Queen or even an older Frigidaire 1-18 remains to be seen.

New Frigidaire TL Washer

Our you guys really looking at this washer? the tub and agitator are ONE PIECE this has never be done before in a washer that does not have a deep water fill, in the videos the small load of clothing is not turning over at all.

The machine could prove fairly durable as it is very simple, time will tell. But there have been only two TL Hi Efficiency washers that really turned a load and did a great job cleaning big dirty loads, the WP built Calypso and the Maytag built Neptune TL washers. Unfortunately both had some issues, the Calypso was too expensive to build and had reliability problems and the MT tangled so badly and with MT being in financial trouble they just the design to Haier.

frigidaire TL

the more expensive model with the glass lid has an automatic water level but ALSO has 3 manual water level settings which i like, the base model just has manual water level settings, the comforter cycle does fill all the way to the top, the one part of the video it looks like the tub is full of water, plus the video that we saw was not long enough to tell what the turn over is like, i guess time will tell, i think it will be a good machine, definately better than a ge hydrowave with the impeller.

Wash Action

It appears that it may shower the load with water while spinning the solution through the laundry and out through the basket holes. Cleaning ability may be close to that of the Whirlpool Calypso machine. It certainly has peaked interest.

Looking forward to additional video information on the machine's action.

Looks pretty cycle rich for the price. Although, no on board heater to maintain a wash temp.

Price point: Frigidaire is known for their low introductory prices when a newly-designed product is first released. The price then creeps upward after only a couple of weeks.

The tub size, 3.4 cu. ft., is smaller than most "impeller" machines. My 2006 Frigidaire top-loader (with agitator) had a 3.0 cu. ft. tub. I'm guessing most of the extra .4 is gained from losing the agitator. Compared to tubs of 4.5 + cu. ft. from LG, and Whirlpool/Maytag, the Frigidaire will often have a full tub of clothes which will add to the strain of trying to turn over the load during "agitation".

I'm still surprised the economy model doesn't have the jet sprays. As I mentioned, it seems from the video that those jets are pretty important for good cleaning.[this post was last edited: 8/27/2012-20:11]
