hardly chemistry majors. My nephew is a graduate chemist of UofM. He was working for BASF in Wyandotte in his internship. Post graduation, he was not offered a position, and is now at a firm in Northiville. He Loves it, even though his commute is nearly an hour in heavy traffic, or inclement weather. Great compensation, and co-workers.
I had a short conversation with a gal at the gym yesterday morning about how easy it is for young people to get into medical school lately, wether they be born Americans, or otherwise. They are not all qualified, so she doen't trust doctors much anymore. Sure, it can be a catch 22. You have to be your own advocate. No one knows our body better than we do ourselves.
There are crooks everywhere. Our grandaughter went to the doctor last week for strep throat. When she tried to precribe amoxacillin, my daughter in law told her she is allergic.A new pediatrician due to an insurance change, it is not on her chart, so they wanted her tested for allergies to medicactions for a $500 fee to add it to her chart. Daughter told her stuff it! That's ridiculous!
About a decade ago, my dad caught his internist billinmg medicare twice for one test. Whe he calle dhim out on it, he asked him to cut him a break, as he had 2 sons in Med. school. Indian born doc., naturalized citizen. My dad reported him.
Changes need be made, one at a time. There are many facetts of fraud in healthcare, etc., etc. Big phrama is also in the chemical industry. As ususal, follow-the-money, and those Manhattan high rollers are all in cahoots too, regsrdless of any political affiliations. I know what I know, "in eastern european accent"- I'm a Capitalist too! No better system, but do the reat of us other than the top 3% will soon have only the right to be impoverished in lifetime debt? Effitol! Now thats a good name for a drug. Sue me. Oh, and if I bruise easily, you can bet my family will also sue. They all folow me and whom I follow on social media.

Actually my college degree was in Biochemistry, but I've probably forgotten at least 50% of it by now. I still have the books, though.
