Our new washer came in a few weeks ago. It replaced an LG which i was glad to see go. When all my classes are in the kitchen i do 9 loads of laundry a day. I know its a Speed Queen, which is what i wanted, but this particular vendor carries the Huebsch brand and won the bid. Actually i wanted the residential SQ because of the increased cycle options but we werent going to get the same warranty through the other vendor. Very happy with it. Longest cycle is 65 minutes with prewash and extra rinse but i can get a regular load done in about 48 min. There are a few things they need to change - there are two hex bolts in the dryer that can snag clothes and the dispenser really isnt set up for liquid detergent. Here are some pics of the rags we used to clean out the ovens. Used the hvy cycle with prewash, bleach in the bleach and softener dispenser, tide free and clear powder in both prewash and wash compartments, and extra rinse that gives a total of 3 rinses.. The stain on the rag was there before.

Congrats on the new machines!   DANG, those towels are a mess!   Awesome they came out clean (as can be expected anyway).

I don't know that adding LCB to the fabric softener compartment is a good idea.   As it is dispensed during the final rinse, there is no additional rinse to remove/rinse/flush out the bleach from your towels.   I can't see how that could be good for the life of the towels OR your hands!

Wonderful!

You definitely upgraded! I thought about the stacked SQ set but venting the dryer would be a PITA and I would loose my shelving. I ended up with the regular SQ FL set.
I am impressed with the cleaning on this machine. How hot is the water and what chemicals did you use?
Most commercial kitchens I have worked in we used Ecolab. I think their chemicals are the best.

Bolts

Sure, will take a pic when i go up next. These were cleaning rags, they are cheap and in bleach quite often. Have another issue. Twice the tub has filled with water over night. Think it may have something to do with them working on the water main, at least hoping it is that. I know
We have some issues with the hot water. There is a connection i belive rusting somewhere. The second load when new got a fault code because the strainer on the hot water hose had clogged. Flushed it out so maybe some trash has gotten in the valve. Hasnt done that everday though, but coincides with the water main issues.

Hex head vs Allen head.

Technically I would call that an Allen head ( which actually has a round outline ) as opposed to a hex head ( which has a hexagonal outline ) but I vaguely understand your concern nontheless.

I agree that round head Allen bolts would be the way to resolve the problem, but how many homemakers are out there who wouldn't have a clue about why their clothes are getting ripped up and how to resolve the issue?

This seems like another sloppy bit of manufacturing that makes one wonder what they're thinking (or not thinking) at Alliance.
