Was in Marks and Spencer today and spotted their new laundry detergent range. Seems they have gone down the Ariel Gel route and embraced 'cool clean technology'. Two varients - Whites and Coloureds, both of which have a pleasant fragrance. Will try them at the weekend and see how they go. Packaging is similar to Ariel Gel and comes in 18 wash packs. Dosing thing is a bit cheaper and the pouring cap was a bit of a surprise as it looks like something you might find on a bottle of Turtlewax!! As for the price, it is currently £4.99 but on BOGOF so quite good VFM I thought. Not sure if I would pay full price as I won't even do that for Ariel Gel and always hunt it down on special offer before buying.

Anyone already tried this and have anything to report?

I saw it the other day. The packaging is a total rip-off at first glance, I'm surprised they didn't go the whole hog and call it Excel(lent) Gel.

Seeing the bottles side by side in the cupboard I have to agree it is a total rip off design. Who makes these detergents, any idea? I often wonder if the same product can be bought at Wilkinsons for a third of the price!

I was in Marks & Sparks yesterday and spied the detergents on a stand near the checkouts. The packaging is a blatant rip-off, including the shape of the 'dosing device'.

Seamus did you take any pics?

I don't go into M&S very often and would love to see what the packaging is like.

Has anyone used it yet?

Fanks!

Nasty Stuff anyway

If you over dose on that stuff you get a very creamy and sticky lather that ends up in extra rinses, it does clean very well though but not what it says on the packet. not at 15 degrees, great at 40degrees

Just popped out to my local Marks's foodhall due to having a fridge full of food but not having EXACTLY what I fancy for tea and having run out of tonic water lol.

Been one of those days,

Anyways spotted this rip off stuff and like their sirloin steak tempted me I threw some of this into the basket too.

I must be easily pleased I guess lol.

Was 4.99 BOGOF.

Il put on a wash and take some pictures while tea is cooking for y'all.

Maybe even a video or two.

Apologies in advance as it will only be in the modern Indesit and not one of the collection machines but it should give a fair result all the same.

Very slowly but surely changing my opinion of Indesit appliances after calculating its done over 950 washes in 18 months without a problem. I say without a problem meaning no repairs yet, only gripe is the final spin of 1000rpm is erratic to say the least.
It likes to dip up and down alot barely reaching 1000 before dropping to 900-750 every few seconds then back up to 1000.

Not sure if this a fault or programmed to do this, im assuming fault due to the Hotpoint models not doing this, well my WF000 certainly didnt all the same.
